My Research

Quasars are supermassive black holes surrounded by searing hot disks of gas and dust. I work with JWST to analyze these objects. Specifically, I want to investigate how these cosmic giants grew to such a large size in such a short time and uncover what kind of seeds they may have grown from.

Blog

I share my passion for astronomy by creating scientific videos and articles. I hope to inspire people to learn more about our Universe and experience the same sense of wonder I feel working on my research. Outreach is the best tool we have to engage with the public and inspire the next generation of scientists.

About Me

It amazes me that I get to see quasars that are billions of lightyears away and billions of years old. The vast distances involved in cosmology are unfathomable, but even in our galactic neighborhood there are countless habitable exoplanets potentially teeming with life. Helping people understand the scale of the cosmos can bring us closer together, and I hope to play my own small part in the quest to explore the Universe.
